Community Mental Health Support Services

Our knowledge, experience and commitment enable us to provide specialised support to people with the most complex mental health needs within the Recovery Model

Our Recovery Model

Starting Treatment

Deciding to start treatment is the most important step of recovery. This is where the healing starts and a professional mental health centre is a great place to start.

Mental Illness Education

Understanding your mental health condition(s) is the foundation of recovery. In this stage of recovery, you’ll learn common symptoms and coping skills for any mental illness you’re facing.

Making a Change

Making changes after treatment can make all the difference in your recovery. By learning to prioritise healthy relationships and develop a support system, you’ll give yourself the best chance of long-term recovery.

Finding New Meaning

Finding new hobbies, activities, responsibilities and other rewarding factors in life can help you find joy in the little things once again.

Sticking with Recovery

Recovery requires commitment. When you decide to keep working on your recovery every day, you achieve the last stage of mental health recovery!

Specialised support for people with a range of mental health needs

We offer specialised support to people with a range of mental health needs from younger people experiencing psychosis to older people with dementia.

We work within the Recovery model and train our staff to engage, support and enable our clients to live independent lives in the community. Our team of support workers provide practical and social support aimed at building daily living skills, confidence and resilience.

The service is based in Yeovil and we have staff working in small teams across Somerset and Devon.

Effective Relationships

Passionate about the rights of people with mental health needs.

Angie Lyons-Redman works as the Managing Director of Enable.  Working closely with the Founder, Debbie Boyes, Enable continues to grow and provide even more services to clients across Somerset and Devon.

The Management Team aim to provide the right support to every client who passes through the service regardless of who that person is or why they need support.  Being keen on delivering outcomes for every client, Angie works hard with the team to ensure the highest levels of service are provided. Ensuring that each and every client gains from the time they spend with Enable staff is key for all the parties involved.

Jess Coles is our Community Services Manager. Jess is a confident and approachable people manager who has excellent experience in operations management and delivers exceptional service to all our clients. She thinks outside of the box and looks at new ways of working and efficiencies so that we ensure that we are supporting our clients in the best ways possible.

Kyleigh Elliot is our Housing Services Manager. Kyleigh ably runs our housing services and ensures that the people living there always receive the highest quality support. Kyleigh has many years’ experience in supporting people with mental health needs and learning disabilities and in managing housing and community based services.

I found that getting support for my son was very difficult (he has paranoid Schizophrenia) and was resistant to accepting the support he needs. Debbie has worked hard to build a relationship with him and gained his trust and has been patient and understanding of his difficulties. I would highly recommend enable support to families, carers and service users.

What clients are saying

To all your staff, a big thank you from someone who was on the receiving end of your care and hard work. You make a difference to people’s lives, we’ll never forget what you did for my Mum and for us.
If you are suffering from anxiety and depression, Enable will give you the support you need to come out and cope with situations.
I am so happy I was referred to Enable, I had lost all hope and was ready to give up, from the moment I walked in I felt safe, and so nice to be able to talk without being judged and feel hopeful for the future.
The service provided me a vital stepping stone from hospital to home and so grateful for the support and encouragement.
