We provide support for people with mental health needs and learning disabilities
Enable works with many different people providing different support depending on their needs.
When we start working with you, we will take the time to find out and understand what you would like from your support.
If you are in need of supported living accommodation, we will work with you to see whether any of our supported living properties are suitable for you in terms of location, other tenants and suitability. We have high quality properties in Yeovil, Stoke Sub Hamden, Glastonbury, and Taunton. Of course, we can’t guarantee a room because this depends on the tenants that we have at the time, but we will consider all the different ways we can help you and make suggestions that might help. Many of the people we support have their own accommodation, so you may already be at home and need support to take place there. We have a whole team dedicated to this type of work. We can work with you whatever your situation.
We will empower you to live an independent life whilst receiving a level of support in a safe environment. Our staff are highly qualified to care for your individual needs providing you with person centred support at all times. We are also able to provide overnight staffing if you need it.

Working Together
We will work alongside any professionals who work with you, and your family and friends. By working together, we will give you the best possible chance of living an independent and fulfilled life.
If you have previously lived at home with parents or on a hospital ward, and you are moving on to somewhere else, whether it is your own home or one of our homes, we can help you to find a routine and more independence than you may have had before. Our team will equip you with daily living and life skills such as budgeting, cooking, paying bills and dealing with post. If you would like, we can also help to develop your resilience and coping techniques through teaching mindfulness and self-care.

Your Support Services
At ESS, you will be at the heart of all that we do.

How do I access your service? - either through the Council or Privately.
Our services are available to those funded by their local authority, CHC, or through private payment. To access our services, click here Gov.uk/find-local-council to find your local authority and request a Care Act assessment. Once you have had your Care Act assessment, you can request through your local council that we provide support for you. What if you’re happy and you want to tell us?
We hope that you will feel happy with the support that you are getting at all times. If we are doing great work with you, you can recognise a favourite member of staff or tell us we are doing well by following our Complaints and Compliments Policy.

What if you’re unhappy and you want to tell us?
From time to time, you might feel unhappy with the support that you are getting from us. We have found in the past that things like this can be managed better if we know and understand what you are not happy with. Quite often, even just talking about things can make it better. As a starting point, you can raise any issues that you have with your support worker. Most of the time, they will be able to help you to sort out the problem. But if you are still not happy, you can make a formal complaint by following our Complaints and Compliments Policy.
